“Two Mates, One Shit Box”
We would like to introduce ourselves, Mornington Peninsula Mates - Josh Carlson (Electrician & Single) and Sam Tyson (Plumber). We're pleased to annouce we're taking part in the 2018 Shitbox Rally and WE NEED YOUR HELP to help fuel our fundraiser. We will be driving from Brisbane to Darwin May 19th in our Shitbox worth less than $1,000.
Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for the Cancer Council's in Australia and is now in its 9th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $4,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the $1,400,000 target. These funds go to the Cancer Council and we are extremely proud to be doing our part to support such a worthy charity.
We will be getting behind the wheel of our 2001 Hyundai Accent (FUNSIZE) and a great cause. We will be racing our red-hot ride across the Aussie desert to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Council AUS. We have been on many local, interstate and international adventures together, but are looking forward to this one the most as cancer is a disease that has touched both friends and family dear to us.
So far we have raised approximately $1,500 and are short of their $4000.00 minimum, and would like to reach 10K with the help and generosity of family, friends, businesses and our local community. We ask you donate any amount great or small to get us to the starting line in Brisbane, and hopefully FUNSIZE (Sam & Josh) see the checkered flag at the finish in Darwin.
If you are an individual please donate via the link. If you are a business who would like to become a SPONSOR please contact Josh (firstname.lastname@example.org) to organise a minimum $100 + GST donation which allows us to put YOUR LOGO on OUR SHITBOX.
Make sure you follow us on INSTAGRAM to keep up to date with our efforts, shout outs and go lives on this amazing desert commute for charity - www.instagram.com/team.funsize

Shitbox Rally is the adventure of a lifetime challenging participants and their cars, worth no more than $1,000, over a 7 day across Australia endeavour to raise money for cancer research.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally."
