“Two Mates, One Shit Box”
We're Mornington Peninsula Mates - Josh and Sam and we need help from our Family, Friends, Local Business and the Community!
We're taking part in the Shitbox Rally 2018 raising awareness and funds for Cancer Council Australia. We're getting behind the wheel of out 2001 Hyundai Accent (TEAM FUNSIZE) and driving 3,800 charity kms from Brisbane to Darwin to raise awareness and funds.
So far with your help, we have raise 69% of our $10,000 fundraising goal and we would like to exceed that amount by May 25th when we reach the finish line in Darwin! We ask you donate as little or as much as you can for the cause and share our campaign to your friends and family.
Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for the Cancer Council's in Australia and is now in its 9th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $4,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the $1,400,000 target. These funds go to the Cancer Council and we are extremely proud to be doing our part to support such a worthy charity.

Shitbox Rally is the adventure of a lifetime challenging participants and their cars, worth no more than $1,000, this year for the 10th year anniversary rally, over a 10 day across Australia endeavour to raise money for cancer research.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally."
Josh Carlson (Electrician) and Sam Tyson (Plumber) are behind the wheel of a 2001Hyundai Accent and a great cause. Two mates from the Mornington Peninsula will be racing their red-hot ride across the Aussie desert to raise funds and awareness for theCancer Council. The boys have been on many local, interstate and international adventures together, but are looking forward to this one the most as cancer is a disease that has touched both friends and family dear to them.Sam and Josh have raised $1,500 and are short of their $4000.00 minimum to compete in this amazing event. We are asking local businesses, family and friends to donate any amount to the cause to get the boys to the starting line in Brisbane, hopefully TEAM FUNSIZE (Sam & Josh) will see a checkered flag at the finish in Darwin. All donations big and small are appreciated, with the option for Business to sponsor $100.00 place their logo on the Shit Box!
Thanks to all the legends who have donated over the last 24 hours as help shift our fundraiser into gear. Together we had $1500 up until yesterday, and today we have raised just shy of $2,200! Currently sitting at 22% of our $10,000 Target. Please follow our journey on instagram for posts, videos and updates leading up to and on our trek www.instagram.com/team.funsize and tell your friends to get behind the wheel and donate for an epic cause! Cheers - Josh & Sam!
We have reached 69% of our fundraising goal. Help the little red car reach its 10k fundraising goal by donating as little as $5 and sharing our campaign with family, friends and the community.
